Hi, I’m Daniel, a licensed physiotherapist based in Nova Scotia. I initially started working in 2020 and have served rural Nova Scotia for about 3-4 years, working both in Truro and Elmsdale.
I use a patient-centred approach, focusing on what matters most to you and what helps support your overall functioning through a combination of hands-on therapy, exercise-based treatments, and relevant education.

Mobile physiotherapy is a service where a licensed physiotherapist comes to your home to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation in a comfortable and familiar environment.
No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment and be seen. However, some insurance providers may require one for reimbursement (not typically), so it’s best to check with your provider.
Mobile physiotherapy is most suitable for individuals with limited mobility and transportation, post-surgical needs and chronic pain.
I provide mobile physiotherapy services across Colchester County and East Hants. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions about service areas or if you are outside this area and require home therapy.
After booking and filling out your intake information, your physiotherapist will arrive at your home with equipment commonly used for assessments and treatments. Your condition will be assessed, after which a personalized treatment plan will be created. Treatment usually consists of a hands-on portion, injury-specific exercises, and relevant education.
Your first session will include a comprehensive assessment, discussion of your goals, and the start of a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Current equipment includes a treatment table, common assessment and hands-on treatment equipment, as well as some exercise equipment. Please note that no machine-based treatments or dry needling/acupuncture is currently being offered.
I try to keep the rates as low as I can to try and make it accessible for many people. I currently charge $135 for assessments and one-hour appointments, and $115 for 45 minute appointments. Please understand that I need to block off roughly 1.5 - 2 hours for each appointment and there are operational costs. Reduced rates are available if needed.
Yes. Mobile physiotherapy is a service that is covered by insurance companies. You should get reimbursed by submitting the invoice (that you will be provided following your sessions) to your insurance company.
I currently accepts cash, credit card, as well as e-transfers as forms of payment. I only offer direct billing for select insurance companies at the moment.
