Meet Your Physiotherapist

Hi, I’m Daniel, a registered physiotherapist based in Nova Scotia. I began practicing in 2020 and have spent the past several years working in Nova Scotian communities such as Truro and Elmsdale.

I take a patient-centered approach, trying to work closely with you to understand your goals and what matters most in your daily life. Treatments generally combine hands-on care, targeted exercise, and personalized guidance. I focus on the person as a whole and like to advocate for my patients as necessary.

My previous work experience includes post-surgical rehabilitation, general practice, work in an active care setting, as well as long-term care. I currently also work at Renew Health clinic in Elmsdale.

Common Questions

Please fill the contact form below if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Mobile physiotherapy is a service where a physiotherapist comes to your home to provide assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation in a comfortable and familiar environment.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement and access to the area being treated.

Have any relevant medical information available if applicable, and ensure a safe open space for the session.

No, you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment and be seen. However, some insurance providers may require one for reimbursement (not typically), so it’s best to check with your provider.

After booking and filling out your intake information, your physiotherapist will arrive at your home with equipment commonly used for assessments and treatments (including a treatment table). Your condition will be assessed, after which a personalized treatment plan will be created. Treatment usually consists of a hands-on portion, injury-specific exercises, and relevant education. If you have questions, don't be afraid to reach out.

I provide mobile physiotherapy services across most areas within Colchester County and East Hants. Please feel free to give me a call if you have any questions about service areas or if you are outside the primary coverage area and require home therapy.

Your first session will include a comprehensive assessment, discussion of your goals, and the start of a personalized treatment plan tailored to your needs and goals.

Current equipment includes a treatment table, common assessment and hands-on treatment equipment, as well as certain exercise equipment. Please note that machine-based treatments or dry needling/acupuncture is currently not being offered.

I try to keep the rates fair to keep it accessible for most patients. I currently charge $135 for assessments and one-hour appointments, and $115 for 45 minute appointments. Please understand that I need to block off roughly 1.5 - 2 hours for each appointment and that there are operational costs. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Mobile physiotherapy is a service that is covered by insurance companies. You should get reimbursed by submitting the invoice to your insurance company. You will be provided with the invoice following your physiotherapy sessions.

I currently accepts cash, credit card, as well as e-transfers as forms of payment. I only offer direct billing for select insurance companies at the moment.
